this one was taken from the back side of our building, 12th floor, looking north towards 40th street. this would be looking south to 39th! when i first saw port authority from our floor i had never imagined that the whole roof was a full parking lot... i know thats nothing unusual but after being in the city for a few years and being in the area quite often you would never guess that by looking from the ground. something also is that on left of this photo, if i moved the camera just a bit. you would see some new construction which now covers more than half of the view. i just regret no having a camera when the whole top of port authority was still visible.
