lovely lighting. speaks to this boy's sense of wonder at being in the big apple.

This is an amazing shot. did you edit it in photoshop? How do you get it so clear and sharp? any chance you could explain how you achieved this?
fantastic work!

sure perter, my pleasure,
This photo was taken at 500 iso, a 1/25 of a second (which explains why the taxis are moved on the back) at aperture 2.8 which is the widest aperture for this lens. all settings manual...
usually this would have been focused automatically but my lens autofocus feature is no longer working so fully manual on that aspect as well.
I guess what makes the photo look nice other than the above is that there is actually more light in the scene than what it seems in the photo.
I have pushed a the contrast a bit in photoshop which is helping hide the little bit of noise in the dark areas. other than that i did not edit anything further to
the image at all. I did though set a desired white balanced, balanced the brightness of the light spots on the street-lamps and the light coming from the windows all done directly on
the raw file prior to opening it in photoshop.
sounds like a look process but this is all done in around a minute or two. - hope this helps.
